"I invested in my kids instead of building a house" - Oga Bello reveals

Experienced Nollywood actor Adebayo Salami (commonly known as Oga Bello) shares that he deliberately prioritizes his children’s education and moral education rather than accumulating wealth or property.

In a recent interview, the experienced actor explained that despite being polygamous, he made a conscious decision not to focus on obtaining inherited material possessions. Instead, he invested in giving all 18 children a strong educational foundation.

“When I became polygamous, I decided not to focus on leaving a lot of property. I just needed two houses in Lagos, one in my hometown. He said.

Oga Bello revealed that although several of his children eventually joined the film industry, including his famous son Femi Adebayo, he never pushed any of them to act. His only requirement is that they complete the education first.

“I never told my kids to take part in the show. My goal was to get them to school first. Any interest they develop later depends on them,” He added.

When he was about to retire, the actor said he found not to feel accomplished in physical assets, but rather in the values and achievements of his children. According to him, education remains the best legacy parents can offer.
