

Arsenal Football Club sang Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea in a permanent deal.
Arsenal confirmed the signing of Spain International on its official website on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Kepa Arrizabalaga joined Arsenal, spending its last two seasons on loan at Real Madrid and Bournemouth to strengthen the Gunners’ goalkeeper.
Why did Kepa join Arsenal?
Kepa said he was happy to join Arsenal for a permanent deal.
“I’m really happy to be here, really excited and looking forward to what’s coming. When I talked to Mikel, I was ambitious [Arteta] And exaggerated [Cana]they showed me their desire to win…I think we are very close to winning and hope we can achieve that.
Kepa joined Chelsea as the world’s most expensive goalkeeper in August 2018 and was part of a team that lifted the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
In 2023/24, he returned to Spain to join Real Madrid and as the club continues to win the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup. Kepa then spent last season with Bournemouth.
