

Former Arsenal Football Club player Thomas Partey has been charged with rape by Metropolitan police.
Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was formally charged by the Metropolitan Police Service today, and today is Friday, July 4, 2025.
The Official Procuratorate (CPS) authorized the allegations after a thorough review of the evidence submitted by the detective.
In the official statement, CPS confirmed: “The Crown Procuratorate has authorized the Metropolitan Police Department to prosecute a man after detectives submit their evidence files.transparent
“The Metropolitans have now issued charges and applications to Partey, 32, of Hertfordshire.”
The party faces six charges in total, including five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The crimes are allegedly committed between 2021 and 2022. The midfielder played for Ghana internationally and was a well-known figure in the field of British football and will now be subject to legal action.
As in all criminal cases, he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court. Neither the party nor his legal representatives have made public statements.
