Amaarae, a famous Ghanaian singer and songwriter, calls on Afrobeats artists to embrace fearless creativity and push the boundaries of this genre.

Speech in a recent interview with media person Mrs. Joyce Fountain baby Hitmaker shares her thoughts about the current status of Afrobeats and the need for artistic evolution.

According to Amaarae, despite Afrobeats’ huge commercial success around the world, it also made some artists hesitate. “Afrobeats need to move in a fearless direction.” She said. “Artists have made so much money from some type of voice that they are afraid to go beyond the line.”

She stressed the importance of African artists, challenged the status quo and ventured into new creative spaces. “Africans need to bring them together and start experimenting,” Amaarae added that stressing growth and innovation is crucial to the long-term relevance of the type at the global stage.

Her comments sparked a conversation between music lovers and industry viewers. Many agree that Afrobeats will conduct a new Sonic exploration beyond its commercially successful formula.
