To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Apple Music has launched a list of 500 most popular songs in the decade, Ed Sheeran’s global hits Your shape Ranked first.
The British singer-singer and lyricist’s 2017 track has performed well in all other songs over the past 10 years, beating Weeknd‘ Blind light and Drake‘ God’s Planranked second and third respectively.
After release, Your shape Break Apple Music’s first-day stream count and took over the Billboard Hot 100’s dominance for 12 consecutive weeks. The track later won Ed Sheeran’s award for Best Pop Music Performance in 2018.
The rest of the top ten features a mix of pop and hip-hop heavyweights. Postal Ma Long and sunflower beside Swae Lee In No. 4 and Rock stars feature 21 Barbarians In No. 5. Other people on the chart include Drake’s A dance feature viskid and Kaila,,,,, Travis Scott‘ Sick modeSheeran’s Perfect,,,,, Chris Brown‘ No guidanceand Billie Earth‘ Bad guy.
Other places on the list, Chain merchants and Halsey‘ near Ranked 11th Kendrick Lamar‘ Humble On No. 15 Ariana Grande‘ 7 rings On No. 19, BTSRecord break Explosive In No. 34.
Drake has the title of the most entries on the list, with 27 songs laying off employees. Taylor Swift Follow 14, and Mariah Carey Her classic What I want for Christmas is you Log in to No. 100.
To mark this milestone, Apple Music has released a special playlist with a full 500-piece lineup and has an exclusive interview with Ed Sheeran. Reflect on lasting success Your shapeSheeran told Zane Lowe, “No one can take this song. I’ll be able to play it forever…I’m so glad to have a song like this, anywhere in the world to pick up a guitar and make someone happy.”
