Barcelona’s main transfer goals for summer 2025 have been revealed after Nico Williams’ failed move.
Barcelona FC reportedly strengthened their pursuit of Colombia winger Luis Diaz, with new reports suggesting the club intends to make new ways for Liverpool to move forward in the coming weeks. The report was made immediately after the failure of Nico Williams of the Sports Club.
Despite two previous proposals rejected, the Catalan giants did not divert their attention and still believed Diaz was the main target to strengthen the left. According to Fabrizio Romano, Díaz himself is keen on the move, viewing Barcelona as the ideal next step in his career.

The 28-year-old has been impressed since joining Liverpool in January 2022, combining technical skills, pace and offensive abilities, which is perfect for Barcelona’s tactical blueprint under manager Hansi Flick.
But the road to ensuring Díaz’s signature is far from direct. Liverpool have rejected Barcelona’s two approaches, reportedly reluctant to separate from one of their main attack assets without a major offer.
Premier League champions still place great emphasis on Díaz, and any transaction requires careful financial structure, especially given Barcelona’s ongoing financial constraints. Barcelona is expected to continue internal discussions before making suggestions for improvements.
As the summer transfer window progresses, everyone will pay attention to whether Barcelona can reach an agreement to bring Luis Díaz to Camp Nou.
