

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will have a new assistant coach ahead of the 2025/2026 club football season.
Former Manchester United and Argentina defender Gabriel Heinze officially joined Arsenal’s first-team coaching staff, ahead of the club’s pre-season preparations and in the Premier League a new club football season.
Adder came after the departure of assistant coach Carlos Cuesta, who recently took up a management role in Parma in the Italian Serie A, prompting Mikel Arteta to seek reinforcements for his team behind the scenes.
In the official announcement, the club shared: “We are delighted to welcome Gabriel Heinze to our men’s first team coaching staff. As a former international player with extensive experience on the court and on the court, his insights will be valuable to our team.”
Arteta, who knew Heinze since they played at Paris Saint-Germain, expressed enthusiasm for the appointment and warmly welcomed Heinze and his family.
“We are happy to bring Gabriel into the boat as we continue to build a strong and dynamic coaching setup at the club.” Aitta said.
