Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo finally responds to her strong opposition, threats and allegations in her positive role in advocating justice for the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad.

On her Instagram page, the actress released a detailed statement to resolve the increasingly controversial disputes, including the latest invitation from the National Cyber Crime Centre of Abuja. The subpoena is related to previous live videos, in which Ojo calls on some to cooperate in an investigation into Mohbad’s death.

She clarified that her comments were not meant to blame anyone directly, but were part of the broader justice movement. Ojo also noted that her NGO, Pinkies Foundation, has formally contacted several government agencies to seek impartial investigations and coroner investigations.

The actress further revealed that she had been engaged to senior police officers including former Lagos Police Chief Idowu Owohunwa and lawmakers to advocate for a detailed investigation. She insists that she has never tried to influence or hinder police procedures.

Despite her efforts, Ojo admits that her participation has paid a lot of personal expenses.

    “For public records

    1. This is no longer news, and recently, I was invited by the Nigerian Police Force, the National Cyber Crime Centre, Abuja, petitions involving cyberbullying, and other charges about live videos I recorded a few years ago. In this video, I ask that some people investigate Mobad’s sudden death to prove his innocence or otherwise.

    2. Then, through my NGO Pinkies Foundation, we write to the Governor, Governor, Police Chief, Assistant Deputy Inspector General of Police, etc. In these letters, we request an independent and comprehensive investigation of the death of the deceased and a coroner’s inquiry.

    3. All these steps clearly show that I have never confirmed that Mohbad’s death was caused by any particular individual. Otherwise, I would not take the legal and investigative actions I have taken.

    4. I met with other social advocates at that time the Chief of Police, the late Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the deputy director of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of Lagos State, and a glorious member of the Lagos State Capitol to discuss the urgent need for a comprehensive investigation.

    5. I know that Mobad’s wife, brother and several others were also invited by the police. However, it should be recorded that I cannot decide how the police should investigate.

    6. It is frustrating that for years, some people have been calling for my death, destroying my livelihood sources, and inciting public violence against me and my children, all without any intervention from the authorities.

    7. With the ongoing investigation, it is important to point out that a few days before my daughter’s wedding in Tanzania, I received a letter threatening to live in the office. The letter clearly states that over the next three months, I will go through hell.

    8. So it is not surprising now to see my name engraved on the coffin, naked videos threatening my life and property, and further confirming that my family and business business are still on the verge of extinction.

    9. I fully realized that I was intimidated, sponsored assaults and personal insults because of my political views in the last election. However, these views are honest personal expressions and I firmly believe that it should not lead to vendetta or attacks by any individual or group.

    10. No doubt I found comfort in the Bible recently, many of them are the suffering of righteous people, but God will save me from all.

    11. Despite everything, I believe that God will eventually win me.

    12. My advocacy for social justice and political stance undoubtedly won me many enemies, which may explain some of the difficulties I am currently facing.

    13. I want to clarify that I have never accused anyone of responsibility for Mobad’s death. I just reacted emotionally to the videos circulating at the time and used my platform to call for justice. I have been seeking justice through the proper authorities and I personally bear all costs through my foundation.

    14. Inviting anyone they believe is related to the investigation is entirely within the privilege of the police. As a private citizen, the process of guiding these decisions is not in my power or location.

    15. I am ready to continue to respect the police invitation or arraignment, as I have done in the past, without fear.

    16. However, my office was recently destroyed by a fire. Let my emotional space and time tend toward health and well-being, it’s just humane.

    17. My sincere thanks to the police authorities, relevant individuals, friends and supporters

    18. Thank you for your attention to this matter. ”
