- A graduate of the Nigerian Law School suffered after being illegally detained by Nigerian police forces in Lagos State late at night.
- The victim reported the incident on July 7, 2025 while returning from an event with his brother and three female friends.

A top-notch graduate of the Nigerian Law Academy has suffered painful claims about how allegedly detained by officials of the Nigerian Police Force, Osadi’s Nigerian Police Force, days before his call for the bar ceremony.
The victim said in a detailed post shared online that the incident occurred in the early hours of July 7, 2025, while he, his brother and three female friends were returning from the event. They parked their cars at a nearby church where they paid monthly and walked home as a police van approached.
According to him, officials led by an officer Samson landed on them for no reason. “We told them we were just going home, but they wouldn’t listen.” he wrote. “It feels like a game to see who can beat us and then throw us behind their hilux.”
He claimed one of their female companions was beaten so hard that she began to flow out of her nose while another female companions grabbed and destroyed her cell phone after being beaten. What are their so-called crimes? It’s late at night outside.
Although he begged him to have a flight to catch a call in Abuja, law graduates say they were detained for eight hours at the Markkand Police Department. “The chest pain was unbearable. I called the police from the cell before I was finally taken to the counter.he wrote.
The ordeal continued until women were allegedly forced to sweep the police office and then bring all five people to the Freight Mobile Court without formal charges. “We were locked until 3 p.m. We were logged by our names and called us ‘scresteants’,” he added.
On July 10, the young lawyer was finally called to a Nigerian bar, still caring for injuries and emotional trauma. “My happy day is a painful day.” he wrote. “It’s not because God didn’t crown me, so I graduated from first class, but because of what the Nigerian police did to me a few days ago.”
