The former president died of a long-term illness in London on Sunday, July 13 at 4.30 pm.
He wrote: “The former president’s family announced the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari at a clinic in London this afternoon.
May Allah bring him to the police of Firdaus. Amen. “
President Buhari, who was formerly the head of state military from 1983 to 1985, served as civilian president of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023, is known for his stance on anti-corruption and efforts to stabilize the economy.
More details about burial arrangements, they are expected to be released according to the family

Buhari was born on December 17, 1942 in Daura, Katina, Buhari, the 23rd child of his father, ruled Nigeria as a military and civilian leader.
