    FBI and Ghanaian government seized singer Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini

    Ghana’s Office of Economic and Organized Crime (EOCO) has partnered with the U.S. F1Ederal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Justice to seize a luxury car, the 2019 Lamborghini Urus from 2019’s popular dancehall musician Charles Nii Armensah Jr.

    The agency said in a press release issued by EOCO acting executive director Raymond Archer that the agency had seized at the 2023 request from U.S. authorities. The operation took place in the first phase of the Trassaco Valley phase in Acra at the residence of Shatta Wale.

    “In June this year, the Office of Economic and Organized Crime conducted an action in accordance with the 2023 request of the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice, resulting in a legal search in the houses in Trassaco Valley Phase 1 in Accra.

    “The operations carried out by EOCO’s Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) led to the discovery and confiscation of the 2019 Lamborghini Urus linked to the proceeds of a Nana Kwabena Amuah criminal enterprise, which is currently ruling several financial statements for several announcements for several announcements.

    Eoco revealed that the luxury car was found on the Shatta Wale property. He was allowed to surrender voluntarily to avoid public scenes.

    “The car was seized from one Charles Nii Armah, aka Shatta Wale. The officers were professional and civil, and the search and seizure occurred without incident. Nii Armah had pleaded with officers that he did not want the seizure to be made public because the vehicle was a big part of his brand, and that if his supporters saw the vehicle being driven away in the company of EOCO, it would destroy his brand. Nii Armah was allowed to surrender statement explaining that the vehicle itself is currently owned by EOCO.
