The alleged ritualist and kidnapper, Obi Levi Obieze, widely known as Ichie Millions Ezeani, was arraigned in court and showed up with a smile despite serious charges against him.
Obieze, who was reportedly arrested while trying to flee Nigeria, faces shocking charges, including the murder of the allegedly buried pregnant woman.
On May 28, 2025, an angry community youth carried out a violent raid on his residence in Ezeagu, Enugu State, after allegedly attempting to kidnap a 13-year-old girl for the purpose of the ceremony.
During the raid, the young men allegedly discovered a soaking pit that was believed to have been used to deal with the victim’s remains, triggering widespread horror and anger.
