Music director Ubi Franklin denied claiming he stole the luxurious watch on weekends for singer Davido’s wedding while in Miami, USA.
Rumors began circulating on social media Wednesday after a report on the blog.
Franklin visited his X (formerly Twitter) account to address what he said was false and misleading allegations.
“I am currently aware of the recent release on social media that connects my name to what is called theft.
“I want to make it clear that these allegations are totally false and misleading,” he wrote.
Explaining the Miami incident, Franklin said he had been approached by a man named Benny who proposed selling him a watch.
“After reviewing the item and confirming its previous ownership, I decided not to purchase it to avoid any potential complications.
