He is the only Nigerian and West African to receive an EU-funded award that will bring him to universities in France, Italy and Germany in the next two years to study membrane biology, neuroscience and experimental medicine.
Samuel announced the achievement on X, calling it a “dream come true.”
“2025 is amazing in every way! It’s great to announce the next step in my journey: the only Nigerian and West Africans who were selected as the Biofilm Master of Erasmus Mundus Mundus, studying in three world-class universities in France, Italy and Germany.”
He added that he had a modest start in Mushin in Lagos “When I looked back, I saw a little boy from Mushin had a big dream: to explore the world and make a positive impact. Today, with God’s loyalty, this dream gradually became a reality.”
He also took this opportunity to encourage students to pursue excellence through education.
“To my young self and every student: Trust God. Hold on to your education. Get the best and strive for excellence, because education is still one of the most powerful keys to moving from the local community to the global stage. Education is not a scam. It is a weapon. Use it. Use it.”
