Attorney General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has approved the appointment of CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Forces Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
CSP Hundeyin holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lagos State University and a Master of Law Criminology and Safety Psychology from Ibadan University. He also received a civil coordination certificate from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna State.
Hundeyin is an accomplished public relations professional, a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and a partner at the Nigerian Chartered Personnel Management Institute (CIPM).
According to a statement from outgoing public relations officer DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Hundeyin had previously served as a police public relations officer at the 2nd district command headquarters in Onikan, Lagos. He is also a member of the Nigerian contingent for the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020 and serves as an administrative official in the Ministry of Public Relations of the Force Headquarters of the Abuja Forces. Prior to this appointment, he was a police public relations officer at the Lagos State Police Command.
IGP is responsible for Hundeyin using his communication and security expertise to strengthen the force’s public relations activities and maintain active participation with the public. Adejobi has officially handed over the responsibilities to the new FPRO.
