Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin is open to his childhood and praises the resilience of single mothers.
In a candid interview with media person Chude Jideonwo on YouTube, even though he was alive at the time, he killed a monkey star without his father.
“As a kid, I had my woman sheep. Being a single parent was not easy. My mom had to go to work. It was difficult without a father’s figure.”
He highlighted male guidance in boys’ lives, adding: “The greatest respect for the women there is to take care of the children alone. But you need a man. If you don’t want to get married, you need a brother to play the role. Especially for boys, you just need a father’s figure.”
Franklin admitted that he struggled as a teenager and tried alcohol, cigarettes and girls. “I was a girl, drugs – drugs, I mean cigarettes. Drink beer when I was very young. It was a total waste to get home.” He recalled.
Despite the difficulties, the actor said he forgave his father: “My dad is fine, but he is not in the photo. I see now that he is that man, not that man. I forgave him. ”
He praised his mother, Mrs. Joey, for shaping the man he had become: “I and the one I will continue to do this today is because of Mrs. Joey.”
