Abuja Electric Power Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed the interruption in a statement on its X account, which attributed the interruption to a loss of supply at 11:23 am
AEDC said, “The current power outage is due to the loss of supply from the national grid at 11:23 am this morning, affecting the electricity in our service areas.”
The company assured clients that it is working to restore power and coordinate with relevant authorities.
“Rest assured that we are working with all relevant stakeholders to bring the electricity back once the grid is stabilized. We appreciate your patience and understanding,” The notice was obtained.
