    • After the catering service failed to show up, the wedding in Benin City, Edo Prefecture ended, leaving about a thousand guests without food.
    • At night, as the bride’s mother burst into tears, tensions escalated, while guests asked the catering service provider’s name to be exposed publicly.
    • The incident spread and sparked widespread outrage on social media.

After the catering service provider failed to show up, the wedding in Benin, Edo Prefecture turned sour, leaving about a thousand guests without food.

By 6 p.m., frustration had begun and the bride’s mother shed tears as her friend comforted her. In the viral video, guests can be heard asking the catering waiter’s name to be revealed online to warn others.

    See some reactions below:

“I miss the days when my mother once gathered to cook in the Celebration House. There was a lot of food. It was cheaper and fun. Men were coupling the canopy and arranged seats; make sure everything was set.”

Olumax3028 notes: “Na women ruined Am. They should deal with their own problems. If I were the father of the celebrators, I would just whisper to a few of my close friends and take them to a beer hotel. Order food and cold drinks for them. Let the women do what they like with the dining server.”

The incident has since aroused outrage from social media, with many users criticizing the vendor’s non-professionalism. Some describe it as vandalism.

Holar_folarin noted: “Omo. It’s the most advanced garbage. How will you serve at the wedding and you haven’t arrived there before 6pm?

Royal_citizens wrote: “This is a huge dent for the catering representatives in the area, and the wedding of the bride and groom has caused a huge chaos. He/she should be sued for compensation.”

“Obviously, the catering service provider realized that the bride was marrying her ex, so she ruined the entire ceremony,” Itsnrman said.

After 6pm, the bride’s mother cried and the dining-roomers still didn’t bring food 💔💔 pic.twitter.com/tj4ycvg0qc
