- Gov. Charles Saludo and Dr. Donor Soluda rejected Senator Honey’s apology.
- They marked the apology as “another kind of manufacturing.”
- Ekwunife is a candidate for the lieutenant governor for all the progressive conferences (APCs) in the upcoming Anambra elections.

Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, dismissed the reported apology, attributed to Senator Uche Ekwunife, calling it “another fabrication.”
Ekwunife, a candidate for the lieutenant governor for the All Progressive Conference (APC) for the upcoming Anambra election, was earlier accused of allegations of infidelity against the governor’s wife.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the government signed by Mazi Ejimofor Opara, senior special assistant to the governor of New Media, said the apology was not from the senator and therefore lacked credibility. Titled “Senator Ekwofuf’s Apology: Another Suitable for Manufacturing of Waste Tanks”, the statement describes the unsigned information, allegedly from “Ekwunife’s campaign group,” which is “suspicious, misleading and inadequate.”
Opara explained that because Ekwunife voted with the APC governor candidate, there was no such campaign group.
“It is allegedly an apology for the defamatory remarks of the governor and his wife, Ekwunife personally made defamatory remarks against his wife because he himself made defamatory remarks given that her defamatory remarks were leaked through recorded videos and leaked recorded conversations.” Statement reading.
According to Opara, any real withdrawal must come directly from Ekwunife and “used the same channels to make offensive speech.”
“The so-called apology never mentions Mrs. Ekwunife’s original video and audio, but focuses on unsigned articles. This only specifies her accomplice directly or indirectly, just as the source of this article. It means that no real apology is intended or tender,” He added.
The statement also recalls that Dr. Nonye Soludo has challenged Ekwunife to take two steps: “First, take a sworn to confirm her marriage before the sacrament of blessing; second, let her children undergo DNA tests with Sorudos’ own children to refute allegations of infidelity.”
Opala stressed that “Any condemned apology must follow the individual and direct withdrawal of its defamatory statement,” he added, “The defamation or slander directly produced by an individual cannot be dismissed alternatively by any agent or agent.”
Describe the so-called apology as “Another unproven social media gossip” The governor’s office said this would treat the document as non-existent, while continuing to ask the senator himself to make a “clear and clear withdrawal.”
