    • Deputy Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (Retd) formally terminated his sole position as Rivers State after Dr. Irringi Brown served as service director and provided farewell broadcasts.
    • His export marks the end of a chapter shaped by the river political crisis, with Governor Siminalayi Fubara now responsible for maintaining peace in the state.

The only executive of the outgoing River State, Deputy Admiral Ibok-Iber Ibas (Retd), performed his last official post at the Government Building in Port Harcourt on his last day of his tenure.

He served as substantive director of agent services Dr. Irringi Brown, then addressed Rivers people on statewide radio.

Ibas walked calmly and confidently on the glass doors of his office, flanked by senior security assistants carrying files. With his hands in his pockets, he paused briefly to take away the surroundings, smiled, and then went to his vehicle.

The former sole administrator entered his SUV with a sense of courage, which marked his fleet movement. The convoy’s glowing headlights slowly faded into the midnight darkness, marking the end of his term.

Ibas came, conquered and conquered, fulfilling the task assigned to him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the political crisis in Hezhou. Now, the mission belongs to Governor Siminalayi Fubara to provide leadership and maintain a vulnerable peace in the state.
