    Fuji singer Taye Currency sparked criticism of songs at Oba Ladoja’s coronation ceremony

    Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja’s coronation ceremony was the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland continuing to make a buzz on social media, with Fuji artist Alhaji Taye Adebisi (often known as Taye Currency) catching attention at the ceremony.

    According to a previous report by Legit.ng, events held at Mapo Hall, MAPO HALL in Oyo State, including President Bola Tinubu, Alaafin of Oyo, and Governor Seyi Makinde and other famous VIPs.

    Ladoja’s ascension was a critical moment in Ibadan’s cultural and political history. However, online discussions are largely focused on the performance of the Tyer currency at the coronation.

    On Friday, September 26, the new Orubadan urged President Tinubu to support Ibadan’s initiative ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

    In his performance, the lyrics of the sing of Tay Currency praise Oba Ladoja while seemingly making subtle jabs on other traditional rulers, attracting the attention of many onlookers.
