    • Former rivals from Big Brother Naija, Tacha Akide and Mercy Eke showed signs of reconciliation.
    • Tacha publicly celebrated Mercy’s birthday, surprising fans and sparked discussions about their relationship.
    • The gestures indicate a possible shift toward maturity and beyond previous conflicts.

Big brother Naija stars Tacha Akide and Mercy Eke appear to be outstripping their long-term competition.

Tacha publicly celebrated Mercy on his birthday, inspiring a reconciliation and mature conversation between former “Pepper Dem” roommates, which surprised fans.

On Mercy Eke’s special day, Tacha left a passionate message in the comments section calling her “gorgeous” and encouraging her to “stay victorious.” This gesture surprised many people, considering the tension between two reality stars and the history of social media shadows.

Fans quickly praised Tacha’s thoughtful words and praised the two women for their performance of growth and maturity.

Mercy and Tacha’s relationship was previously marked by subtle digging and social media quarrels. In 2023, Tacha seemed to be blocked after showing off a new range rover, “But is she me?” The comment sparked further speculation about their competition.

That same year, after Ilebaye’s All-Star season win, Tacha seemed to question whether Mercy would win her season with Tacha disqualified. Actress Iheme Nancy later defended Mercy, pointing out that she received more votes and correctly won the victory.

Their past conflict often reminds fans of the fierce “pepper dem” battle, which led to Tacha’s final victory in disqualification and mercy.

Despite their previous consequences, the two reconciled in a joint interview with Toke Makinwa in 2022, where they discussed the fan-crazy quarrel. Both stars admit that they don’t owe the public any created competition and highlight how social media can expand their conflict.

Their truce was further strengthened during an Instagram live broadcast with reality star Khloe Abiri, where they shut down rumors of persistent hatred.

Tacha’s recent birthday news to Mercy has rekindled discussions about their personal growth, and many fans hope that the age of hostility between them is indeed behind them.
