Oluwo of Sulphur, Mr. Abdulrasheed Akanbi, broke out in Ooni of Oba Enitan Ognewsi of Ife, and still had an affair with his ex-wife.

In a video circulating on social media shared through his official Instagram page, the outspoken monarch claimed that his ex-wife was introduced to him from Canada as part of a plot to destroy his rule and even assassinate him.
Oba Akanbi said:
“My stuff is hidden. None of you can stand what these people do to me. They packed a woman for me. I don’t know her. It’s a setting. She’s been in my house for over three years, communicating with them and planning my death.”
Oluwo accused of poisoning and assassination attempt
According to Sulphur Monarch, the woman who allegedly had a child during marriage poisoned him twice and made several attempts in his life while secretly working with Ife and his allies Ooni.
He further pointed out:
“They are setting up videos for me and a lot of things in my own home. This is the ex-wife in the room asking me questions, but this is the death they sent into my home. She has a child and I didn’t even know he is my child now. I have to confirm this through DNA.”
Alleged hotel meeting with Ife’s Ooni
Oba Akanbi went on to claim that after he sent the woman away, Ife’s Ooni personally arranged accommodation for her and her children. He claimed he saw the monarch in the hotel.
After Oluwo ended his outbreak, he declared his conflict with Ife’s Ooni “never ended”, suggesting a deep royal competition between two influential traditional rulers.
Explosive allegations have split Nigerians online. While some call for restraint and a peaceful solution, others insist that the incident reveals a long-standing rift between the monarchs of Yoruba.
