Controversial missionary Prophet Odumeje scanned famous clergy, such as Rev. Ea Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo, for their silence on Nigeria’s worsening political and economic conditions.
He condemned the current government, describing it as one of the most corrupt and ineffective governments in the world. According to him, Nigerians, especially young people, must take back the country from leaders who prioritize personal interests over public services.
Odumeje compared with Ghana, pointing out that Cedi of Ghana gained strength against Naira’s strength, emphasizing how the cost of living in Nigeria becomes unbearable. He lamented that corruption and mismanagement have become so common that citizens now regard them as normal.
The pastor urged other religious leaders to oppose government incompetence, stressing that poor leadership not only undermines the present but also erodes the values and future of future generations.
Regarding President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Odumeje reminded Nigerians of promises such as uninterrupted electricity and urged the government to fulfill its commitments. He stressed that leaders must be responsible for their actions.
At the end of his speech, Auguste called on fathers, elders and community figures to play an active role in guiding the country, questioning why influential voices chose to remain silent in the face of ongoing setbacks in Nigeria.
