Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again become involved in Osun politics ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
On Tuesday, October 7, Davido reacted to the post of Senator Iyiola Omisore on his official X handle.
Gistlover recalled that Omisore, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced his intention to contest the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State.
Omisore, a former deputy governor of Osun, made the statement in a post on the X handle.
On Tuesday, October 7, he shared photos from an event where he officially announced his ambitions. Omisore wrote:
“The stage is set. The mission is clear. History will unfold in Osogbo. Stay tuned as #osunrescuemessions begin today.”
Iyiola Ajani Omisore is a Nigerian businessman, engineer and politician. He served as Deputy Governor of Osun State from 1999 to 2003 and a member of the Nigerian Senate from 2003 to 2011. He also served as the former national secretary of the All Progressives Congress.
