    • Media Assistant to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has slammed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for supporting the call for the release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, describing him as a hypocrite for remaining silent on the murder of Deborah Samuel.
    • Kanu has been detained since 2021 and continues to face terrorism charges due to health issues.

An aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for supporting the call for the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, describing him as a hypocrite for not condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto.

Kanu, who has been in DSS custody since his arrest in Kenya in 2021, still faces terrorism charges and there are reports that his health is deteriorating.

However, Olayinka posted on X: “This Atiku did not speak out against the murder of Deborah in Sokoto then oh.

“Hypocrite @atiku posted a tweet condemning Deborah’s murder but quickly deleted it.”

In other news… A widely circulated video captures the aftermath of an alleged theft on a flight to Abuja.

According to reports, a male passenger was caught stealing another passenger’s belongings, causing the flight to be delayed for about 20 minutes.

Witnesses said the suspect took a bag containing £290,000 from the overhead compartment. The rightful owner, a white man, raised the alarm after discovering his luggage was missing.

The search was reportedly triggered when a female passenger pointed out the suspect after seeing him move the bag. The missing cash was allegedly found on him.

Airport security officials then escorted the suspect off the plane, as seen in the circulating video.

A businesswoman who earlier narrated the incident said it happened on the morning of Wednesday, October 8, noting that the suspect had boarded the plane with only a bag and a shirt.
