    • Singer Sparrow has revealed that the biggest challenges he faces in the music industry come from Christians, not Muslims.
    • In an interview with Frank Edoho, he said many Christians criticized his appearance and distorted his words, adding that they even threatened to disqualify him from preaching Jesus publicly.
Sparrow claims most gospel artists are just in it for the money

Singer Oludipe, popularly known as Spyro, has said that Christians are the biggest challenge he faces in the music industry.

In an interview with Frank Edoho, he said: “By far the biggest problem I’ve had in the industry is with Christians, not even Muslims. When I got into the industry, I was shocked because in my own mind, I was like, we’re a family. So when they started giving me, you’re wearing earrings and all that.”

He added, “If we’re not with people outside, how do we reach them? The Bible says, ‘Go into the world.'” It doesn’t say to stay in the church. “

Sparrow pointed out that “A lot of my words were twisted to make me look like the devil. ” “Once you come out and mention this Jesus, there’s always a problem.” He also revealed that some Christians even threatened to destroy his career.

“I noticed that every person who stood up and called Jesus, there was always a question, and it made me feel like there must be something to this Jesus. Because if you come out and you say you’re Buddhist now and no one holds it against you, but you come out immediately and you start talking about Christ. So that’s the moment I open my eyes now. Well, I think I’m going to do this. I’m going to stay, regardless of all the ‘we’re going to cancel you’ threatening messages, we’re going to do this, we’re going to do that.

“I think, you didn’t bring me here. God brought me here, and He will sustain me. The Bible says, be loved, and I want you to prosper and be in good health. It says God is able to make all grace available to you abundantly. You have all sufficiency, and all things will abide in every good work. So God is concerned about your prosperity. The earth is the Lord and the abundance in it. So, if the earth is the Lord and the abundance in it, then I should be the one to have the best,” he added.

He said: “Christ can be better communicated in a G-Wagon. Lamborghinis can better spread Christ. The Gospel of Christ. This is lifestyle evangelism. This is his testimony. I’m not saying that if you’re poor, you can’t preach Christ.

“I’ve been able to draw a lot of people to Christ by getting off the G-Wagon and saying Jesus is Lord. Just like that. I didn’t like them (diamonds, etc.) before, but I have to do it as a responsibility. Show people you can be in Christ and be successful.”

“I don’t have a problem deciding how to draw the line between gospel music and secular music, but unfortunately, it feels like the audience has that problem on my behalf. I don’t have any difficulty being an Afro-pop R&B artist and being a Christian because they are two different things. I’m a Christian, but my job is as a singer. So in my space, I can use my platform to talk about my faith. Not everyone is going to preach the gospel from the pulpit. Sometimes, you have to go out into the community and try to attract people.

“I’ve always said that Christianity as we do it today is the product of a statesman, Joseph of Arimathea, who had access to Pilate. Because he had access to Pilate and claimed the body of Christ when he was crucified. At the same time, he was on the cross. If his legs were broken, because usually in those days, once you were on the cross, they broke your legs, it meant you were a thief,” said “No Glee” to anyone (NGFA)” Crooner.

“So it was a common man, Joseph of Arimathea, who went to Pilate and said, ‘Give me this man’s body.'” He was the one who performed the proper burial for Christ. Jesus had to die for three days and rise again on the third day to fulfill the biblical record. He is just a politician with power. So, to this day, Jesus needs a full complement of soldiers in every profession.

“Of course, people are just being hypocritical because you don’t go to a bank and say, ‘Give me gospel money, give me Jesus money.'” If we don’t get into these areas to influence them, someone else will. That’s why we have people taking drugs everywhere now and no one talks about it. If someone is out doing drugs, the level of promiscuity goes to another level. Christians remain in hiding. “
