Uriel Oputa explains why Nigerian women remain single in their 30s

BBNaija star Uriel Oputa has slammed those who judge women for choosing to be mothers.

The reality star posted on social media that she hates the public discussion of women’s reproductive lives and health now.

According to Uriel, people forget that they are real people, with emotions, silent struggles and private pain.

“What if a woman gives birth to a child?” she asked. “Instead of celebrating life, people start comparing, saying ‘When I breastfed, I didn’t do this’ or ‘Why didn’t she do that?’ Everyone’s story is different. Even siblings with the same parent are different.”

She went on to question why people feel entitled to analyze women’s lives, citing Toke Makinwa, Tiwa Savage, Hilda Baci and others who often faced intense public scrutiny.

“Are you them?” she asked sharply. “Everyone’s journey is unique. Nigerians can be really shameless sometimes.”

Uriel added in the caption that it was disturbing to see people belittle a woman who created life. She urged people to check their own hearts instead of constantly criticizing others.

“I hate seeing other women being pulled down,” she wrote. “This is disgusting. Ask yourself why there is no progress, it’s in your heart. I will continue to defend Trafigura or whoever I wish.”
