    ‘It’s never too late’ – Nigerian senior earns MBBS degree from University of Calabar

    • Dr. Dien Godwin Asuquo, an elderly Nigerian, realized his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor after graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the University of Calabar.
    • Prior to this, he had earned master’s degrees in nursing, psychiatric care, and business administration.
    • His story went viral on social media, with many celebrating his determination and describing it as proof that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.

    Dr. Dien Godwin Asuquo, an elderly Nigerian, has inspired many after earning a Bachelor of Medicine in Internal Medicine and becoming a medical doctor, after obtaining several nursing qualifications and an MBA.

    Prior to his most recent accomplishments, Dr. Asuquo earned registered nursing, psychiatric nursing, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. Despite his impressive academic record, he continued to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.

    A flyer shared online showed that he had obtained a medical degree from the University of Calabar, and posts celebrating his induction were widely shared on social media.

    Friends and well-wishers congratulated him for his perseverance and determination. One user Ogban Ababa wrote:

    “The day has finally arrived. Congratulations on not giving up Dr. Godwin Dien. I’m so happy to see this dream come true. 🎊🎉🌹”

    Netizens praised his story as proof that it’s “never too late” to follow your dreams.
