    • A Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja has granted bail to activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore, NAMDI THANK YOU’S BROTER PRIINCE Emmanuel Kanuel and ten others.
    • The group was arrested after participating in the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja on October 20. They were charged with inciting public disorder and breach of peace.
    • Sowore was subsequently arrested at the Federal High Court on October 23 while expressing solidarity with Kanu.
    • Each defendant was granted bail at £500,000 with two sureties of the same amount pending further proceedings.

The Magistrate Court in Kuje, Abuja has granted bail to publisher and activist Omoyele Sowore, Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer representing detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, Kanu’s brother Prince Emmanuel Kanu and ten others.

The defendants were each granted bail in the amount of £500,000, with two sureties also granted bail of the same amount.

They were arrested on October 20 following the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja, which resulted in them being charged with inciting public disorder and breach of peace.

Ejimacol, Emmanuel Kanu and ten others were reportedly initially detained at Kuye Correctional Facility after being arrested during the protests. Sowore, on the other hand, was arrested on October 23 at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he went to express solidarity during the terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu.

After hearing submissions from defense lawyers, the court granted all 13 defendants temporary freedom pending further proceedings on the matter.

In other news… A Canadian-Nigerian doctor named Chuks has shared his thoughts on the ongoing saga between content creator VeryDarkMan and businessman Blord.

In a widely circulated post, Dr. Chucks compared the situation to pricing disparities at airports, explaining that what some refer to as “copying” is just business practice.

he wrote“Someone can buy a jug of water for $1 (£1,500) outside the airport, but once you’re inside the airport, the same jug of water can be sold for $10 (£15,000). That’s the business – you can call it a rip, but it’s not. Plus, you can always go elsewhere and buy it cheaper because no one is forcing you.”

His comments come amid an online debate over iPhone upgrades between VeryDarkMan and Blord, with some raising questions about fair pricing and honest transactions.
