“They’re there for hype, not justice” – VeryDarkMan slams FreeNnamdiKanuNow protesters

    • Verydarkman criticized attendees of the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow rally, showing that many are seeking attention rather than supporting the real cause.
    • Sowore led the protest to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
    • Key figures including Sowore, his lawyer and Kanu’s brother were arrested during the protests.

Controversial social media commentator Verydarkman criticized participants of the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow rally, claiming many attended the protest for attention rather than the real cause.

This follows Sowore’s recent protests calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, which saw the arrest of key figures including Sowore, his lawyer and Kanu’s brother. The arrests reportedly caused the movement to lose momentum.

Speaking on Instagram Live, Verydarkman accused protesters of chasing trends rather than supporting actual causes. He said:

“The protest died down quickly. After Sowore was arrested, the crowd dispersed. Why? Because many people did not understand the purpose of their protest. They supported Sowore for the hype, not for the protest cause itself.”

He believes the rapid decline in turnout shows that much of the protest activity is driven by propaganda rather than sincere activism.

Verydarkman also warned that a similar pattern could emerge from the ongoing Nnamdi Kanu court proceedings if people continue to focus on online noise rather than taking meaningful action.

“Now, with only Nnamdi Kanu in court, this pattern may continue for years as people just make noise online without doing anything real,” he added.

He stressed that while protests can attract media attention, lasting change requires careful planning, awareness and sustained effort.

    See the post below:

“Nnamdi Kanu’s protests died down as soon as they arrested Sowore because people didn’t even know what they were fighting for. They went to support Sowore because of the hype. Inexplicably, Sowore was arrested and his people went home. You are all in pieces of 💩”
