The ongoing drama between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko has taken another surprising turn following a viral video shared by a Nigerian man.
In the video, which is circulating online, the man claims Regina’s alleged attempts to leave the marriage may not be as simple as many people believe. According to him, the actress and the billionaire politician were not united in a church or mosque, but through a traditional shrine ceremony, which he described as spiritually binding.
He questioned:
“Regina Daniels didn’t get married in a church or mosque, she got married in a shrine and now wants a divorce. Doesn’t she know she’s entering a secret cult?”
His comments have since sparked a backlash online, adding another layer of controversy to the already sensitive issue of the actress’ marriage and family.
Earlier, on Monday, November 3, Regina accused her husband, Ned Nwoko, of being responsible for the arrest of her brother, Sammy West.
The actress expressed deep concern and revealed that efforts had been made to secure Sammy’s release, but without success.
Meanwhile, Regina’s mother Rita Daniels has also spoken out, claiming her daughter has been Ned’s financial support throughout their marriage. However, her comments sparked a backlash from critics who accused her of interfering in her daughter’s married life.
In response, Regina defended her mother, insisting that her marriage to Ned was entirely her own decision. She revealed that her family was initially against the relationship and she even reported it to the police to ensure she could marry the man she loved.
Regina clarified her position writing:
“People should stop insulting my mother. My marriage was my personal decision. No one forced me. I made my choice.”
The actress concluded by saying that her priority now is her brother’s freedom, rather than revisiting past choices about marriage.

@CoiNDosh: “The problem with Regina Daniel is that she got into such a marriage very young; if she was in her 30s she wouldn’t have any problems; she was blinded by the benefits; after all I had kwanu minutes with him; that’s her mindset.”
