Celebrity chef Hilda Baci is celebrating another milestone after receiving her second Guinness World Records plaque.
The new recognition recognizes her achievement in cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, a feat confirmed by Guinness World Records. The massive dish, which weighs 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds), was prepared during a picnic in Lagos in September.
This latest plaque comes more than a year after her first record, which she earned in May 2023 by completing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon.
With these two extraordinary achievements, Hilda Barchi officially became Nigeria’s first and most decorated chef with multiple Guinness World Records.
She wrote: “Your plaque is finally here! Two records. Two plaques. A story of faith, fire and history. Twice, God showed up for me. Twice, we made history for Nigeria. Not just any record, two of the biggest culinary records of all time. Together with Gino, we created a story bigger than ourselves, impacting over 5 billion people and reminding the world that when passion meets purpose, anything is possible. I am a two-time world record holder, someone pinch me”
Batch added: “Two-time Guinness World Record holder!!! You will receive a double portion and not disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance and not disgrace. So you will inherit a double portion in your land and everlasting joy will be yours. Isaiah 61:7”.
