Nigerian woman Silas Tamwasana said she believes long-term relationships can be successful as long as both partners are attentive and committed.
Tamwasana, who will marry fiancé Francis on November 30, 2025, revealed that their love story began in 2016 when she was recovering from the loss of a close friend.
She said it took her about a year to fully open up to the relationship, adding that Francis introduced her to his parents two days before the proposal.
“I met Francis Lureino in 2016 and I was apprehensive about entering into a new relationship due to the pain of losing friends. My dear friend Aso Johnson suggested I take the plunge and suggested that I needed someone to help ease the pain. Although I wasn’t fully committed at first, I eventually decided to give it a try. It took me a full year to fully commit to the relationship, and that was in 2017. Today is 2025 I can prove that long-term relationships can be successful, but they need to be clearly defined. Please don’t celebrate with us on November 30, 2025.” she wrote.

In other news… The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has officially confirmed the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
The confirmation comes after days of public speculation, social media appeals and intense discussions within the Daniels family over Daniels’ detention.
In a statement issued on Friday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, explained that the arrest was prompted by a petition filed against Sammy and three others.
Ard said the petition contains charges of criminal conspiracy, trespassing, assault, criminal intimidation, theft and cyberbullying.
She also revealed that Sammy had been invited to report to the police for questioning many times, but he never agreed.
The statement reads in part:
“Following the receipt of the petition, several invitations were issued to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu but he failed to fulfill them. As a result, the police obtained a valid court warrant.”
After receiving a warrant, police arrested Sami in Lagos and transferred him to Abuja for investigation.
After the investigation process was completed, he was arraigned on November 6, 2025.
The court ordered that he remain detained until he meets bail conditions, which have not yet been met.
The latest development comes amid rising tensions between Regina Daniels’ family and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, who the actress accuses of orchestrating her brother’s arrest.
