    • Nollywood actress Regina Daniels is in the news over her ongoing marital issues with billionaire husband Ned Nwoko.
    • Regina had previously accused Ned of abuse, raising concerns about their relationship.
    • Her brother also made disturbing claims about her marital status, adding to the public scrutiny.

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels continues to make headlines as her marital issues with billionaire husband Ned Nwoko remain in the spotlight.

The actress has previously accused her husband of abusing her, and her brother has shared disturbing claims about her marital status, fueling public concern.

Amid the ongoing discussion, her short film Smiling for the Camera recently went viral on social media.

Produced by Regina Entertainment TV (RET) in 2021, the film explores the harsh realities of domestic violence and the struggles faced by individuals trapped in abusive relationships.

Bella Naija said the short film is RET’s first documentary series to explore the theme of social justice and aims to use storytelling to challenge social norms that have long oppressed and suppressed victims of abuse.

The cast includes Regina Daniels as Sofia, Gideon Moses as Dan, Gloria Mathias K. as Sofia’s mother, Nicolas Adekeye as her father, and Emanuella C. Eboka as Dr. Alex. IceQue On It directed the film and Precious Nkem Ogbuenyi wrote the script.

Although the short film was made in 2021, footage has recently resurfaced online and is causing concern again. Observers noted that Regina shared the video when it was first posted and later deleted it from her social media pages.

A search by Legit.ng failed to find the full video on YouTube, fueling speculation as to why the video was removed.

Despite this, “Smile for the Camera” continues to earn rave reviews online, with many praising Regina Daniels’ creativity and the important message conveyed through the project.

@kokobabe3: “This is Mobad’s way of telling us what he is going to throw through his songs, but Nigeria listens to the dance ND instead of watching it. Until it’s too late.”

@orupabocatherine: “The other one is In His Arms, a movie made by Gina and Maurice Sam and she’s telling her story and now it all makes sense.”

@vickynanaamaowusua1: “Musicians, actors are always talking to us with their life experiences or what they’re going through but we always don’t pay attention to them and well that’s really sad 😢.”

@inyene_xty: “There was a time when she was married and she lost a lot of weight…”

@cutecaroline09: “The video of him having dinner with her and her friends and him controlling what they eat says it all.”

@stephchi6: “OMG…this girl has been through a lot, God please heal and comfort her.”

@dee292721: “She’s been using style to communicate but at the same time she’s scared…usung Cruise to get her message out…I really hope she gets out of this ❤️.”

@dugo_mary “The screenplay had a lot of such hands on Gina!! I love it..”

@stephnoraeddyson90: “Even when she says, beat skin care… she’s sending a message and we don’t get it.”

@akumes: “A lot of people have shown how heartless they are when it comes to this girl’s situation. Even if you feel she was wrong to marry him, that doesn’t justify the way he treated her when she tried to leave him. Regina’s situation exposes all abusers.”

@besonglydia: “Her weight fluctuates all the time, I get it now. God help her out 😢.”

@funmi79366: “You guys should go and see (in his arms), you will understand her marriage very well.”

@enty_shotit: “I can imagine the amount of wipes she collected when she originally posted it and then deleted it.”
