A video from Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy’s latest concert has gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online.
The Afrofusion icon, who is currently on his “No Sign of Weakness” world tour, abruptly paused a show in Denver, US, when he noticed something uncomfortable.
In the viral video shared by @Hypetribeng, Burna Boy, who recently converted to Islam, stops his rousing performance to address a female fan who appears to be sleeping in the crowd. The singer was visibly upset and asked her boyfriend to escort her from the venue immediately.
At first, many attendees thought he was joking, but Burna Boy quickly clarified that he meant every word he said.
He said:
“I won’t sing any more until you take her home. Valahi, they have to go.”
The words shocked the audience briefly before erupting into laughter and murmurs. Despite this, Burna Boy refused to continue performing until security helped the couple leave the venue.
Reports suggest that the singer, who is known for his energetic stage presence, wants to maintain an energetic atmosphere throughout the concert, something he takes seriously at all of his performances.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Burna Boy has thrown fans out of his concerts. Back in 2019, during a show in Atlanta, he refunded a fan’s ticket and asked him to leave, citing “not enough atmosphere.”

@Seankleann: “This must be a show, these two are probably content creators. I paid to see the show and you’re going to tell me to leave with my baby? The end of the Lwkmd Show is that Walahi”
@TerfaTG: “They paid for what looked like front row tickets. The lady looked excited or drunk but not unruly or disturbing other fans. Bruh, I’m not going anywhere. Don’t perform if you want.”
@seyi___vibez: “Burna really said, “Not tonight, you have to take her home first” Absolute legendary energy!”
@Itata_9 “One thing about Burna, whether in Naija or abroad, we will put you in your place. It is very frustrating to see the “fans” not interested in your performance. They even have front row seats at the concert that others will appreciate. I would tell them to go home too”
@ghvstprogrammer: “Burna just switched to cruise na, it was embarrassing and the girl sef was high, I felt bad for the guy. Very unnecessary”
