'My daughter doesn't want to see me' - BBNaija winner Imisi's mother cries

The mother of BBNaija Season 10 winner Imisi Ayanwale has sparked speculations of a deepening family rift in a social media video.

In a recent TikTok post, she expressed her gratitude to her friends, the Ebute-Meta community in Lagos and her church for supporting Imisi during the reality show.

She also spoke about the personal dissatisfaction that has arisen since her daughter’s win and denied accusations that she neglected Imissi before the show.

“I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me during the filming of Big Brother in Imisi. My friends, everyone at Ebute-Metta church, I am so grateful. My brother in Ajah, some people did not want us to visit them,” she said.

“…To those who say I didn’t take care of my children, thank you for what you said. I’m running around making sure my daughter wins, that she becomes an important person in life so that she can take me, her mother, out of poverty.

“…She said she didn’t want to see me anywhere. Is it that serious? There is still a lot to say.”

Adding to her dissatisfaction, she claimed she was marginalized during the show’s finale.

“On the day of the BBNaija finals, I was not even told that it was the finals. Around 4pm, they asked me to start dressing up and asked me to dress appropriately. I was even taken to other places initially,” she said.

On the show, Imisi spoke about her strained relationship with her parents and revealed they kicked her out of home when she was 12, a traumatic event that led to her being raped in a church storage room where she sought refuge.
