    Music director TG Omori calls out security threats after homophobic tweets

    • TG Omori claimed his safety was at risk and he received death threats after posting on X describing homosexuality as “evil”.
    • Omori linked the seriousness of the threat to an article published by Zikoko Mag, which he accused of trying to frame him and put him on a global blacklist for expressing views he claimed were in compliance with Nigerian law.

    Popular Nigerian music video director Thank God Omori claims his safety was threatened after he publicly shared his views on same-sex relationships.

    TG Omori sparked controversy over the weekend by making her views clear:

    “Having someone of the same sex is evil” he wrote on X.

    The cinematographer has now issued a follow-up report claiming he has received death threats after a magazine, Zikoko Mag, accused him of exploiting the controversy to promote his brand.

    He accused media companies of risking his safety:

    “This is a media organization that is trying to frame me and risk their lives to gaslight the international community they serve by blacklisting me for telling the truth under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

    He confirmed the severity of the backlash he faced:

    “ofSince @Zikoko_Mag published this article, @th threats and wishes have been sent to me day and night, threatening my safety as a citizen. “ he wrote in X, citing the magazine’s article.
