    • Social media personality Martins Oates Vincent (VeryDarkMan, VDM) has issued a public apology.
    • The apology came after a physical altercation with comedian Mr Jollof.
    • The incident occurred on a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos.

Social media personality Martins Otse Vincent, popularly known as “VeryDarkMan” (VDM), has issued a public apology after an altercation with comedian Mr Jolov on a commercial flight.

The incident, which involved a physical altercation between two persons, occurred on board a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos.

In an Instagram video, VDM was seen wearing a bandage and initially downplayed the situation before taking it off to issue a formal apology.

He admitted his wrongdoing and expressed remorse to United Airlines, the crew, other passengers and his followers. While he admitted he couldn’t guarantee such an incident would never happen again, he promised it wouldn’t happen in public.

“My behavior was truly irresponsible and I’m sorry. I can’t guarantee it won’t happen again, but it won’t happen on a plane, on a bus or in public.” VeryDarkMan said in part in the video.

@Chiemela Ezumah: “You still want to fight, who is your next target?… This guy got the fans nawa o.”

@Ade Realtor: I can’t promise this won’t happen again, but it won’t happen on airplanes or buses…so that means if we see VDM in the supermarket, let’s just mind our business.

@图一hero: “Any retreat is a retreat. If the Democratic Party strangles your neck, use your teeth.”

@Mendora Essenza: “He’s not saying it won’t happen again, he’s just saying it won’t happen anywhere. Come on, it should be on a box ring and I’ll share the ticket “Let’s go make money.” “

@Winifred Okonkwo: “That’s what you call an ‘unapologetic apology’… It’s like hitting the person who offended you with your right hand and when you take your right hand away from the person’s cheek you apologize to him and then finish with a bigger slap… Humans don’t catch that surprising to me.”
