Renowned gospel singer and pastor, Dunsin Oyekan, has expressed deep sadness over the escalating wave of violence in Nigeria.
Oyekan, through his official X account, expressed his condolences over the ongoing attacks that continue to claim innocent lives across the country.
Gunmen reportedly attacked a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara State on Tuesday night, leaving three believers dead and several others, including the church pastor, kidnapped.
The tragic incident comes on the heels of another attack on Monday night in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, where eight persons were reportedly killed by suspected Boko Haram militants.
Oyekan condemned the Kwara attack as a brutal act and questioned the government’s response to the country’s growing security challenges. He prayed for justice and called on God to intervene to stop the violence.
He said:
“May the Lord judge the enemies of this country once and for all this season. These killings are too many, senseless, and cruel! Psalm 82:1-8 is my prayer in this season. We have a government abi???”
Escalating insecurity in Nigeria has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with citizens urging authorities to take immediate action to protect lives and prevent further attacks.
