Nigerian musician Nnamdi Nwabasili popularly known as N6 recently spoke about his friend and fellow artist Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid in an interview.
The singer, who has criticized cleric Paul Adefarasin, appeared on the show hosted by Nedu. During the conversation, N6 advised against fighting Wizkid, saying he had never seen anyone successfully challenge the superstar. He also stressed that Wizkid’s achievements were well-deserved, urging people to think twice before making enemies of him.
In their personal relationship, N6 described Wizkid as a brother, sharing memories of their childhood in Ojuelegba. He recalls that they had no money for transportation and often had to walk to the studio. During the recording sessions, Wizkid would often stay up until the wee hours of the morning, showing his dedication.
N6 praised Wizkid’s talent and fondly recalled their shared love for football, mentioning how they would play together regularly.
Wizkid’s attention comes at a time when he faces criticism for his upcoming documentary. A clip posted online sparked backlash, with some fans accusing him of ignoring Banky W, who discovered and mentored him in the early stages of his career.
Some commenters also brought up Wizkid’s past online feud with Davido, suggesting that N6 may have been alluding to the “If” singer in his remarks.
