House of Faith, Africa’s premier faith-based entertainment ecosystem, has launched FaithStream, the first international streaming platform dedicated to premium Christian content in Africa, with a global launch confirmed for January 2026. The announcement was made at an exclusive event in London, attended by donors, strategic partners, faith leaders and media representatives from Africa, the UK and North America.
FaithStream addresses a critical gap in global entertainment: While more than 700 million Christians in Africa and millions more around the world lack access to high-quality, culturally relevant faith-based content, mainstream platforms still prioritize secular programming. With less than 500,000 hours of localized faith-based content available compared to more than 2 billion hours of secular global streaming content, and 90% of African Christians consuming content in their native language, FaithStream is the breakthrough solution for serving this underserved market.
“The launch of FaithStream is a historic moment that marks a new era for the media and entertainment industry,” said House of Faith co-founder Kunle Falodun. “We are delivering everything faith-driven audiences have been looking for – premium, culturally authentic storytelling that celebrates Christian tradition while meeting the highest standards of production excellence. This is more than just a streaming platform; this is a movement to preserve and elevate faith-centered narratives for future generations.”
An unprecedented faith-based entertainment experience
FaithStream will provide subscribers with a superior entertainment experience, including:
- High quality original content: House of Faith’s multimedia studios in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa produce feature films, scripted and unscripted series, documentaries and podcasts
- Authorized libraries: Extensive faith-based content from leading producers in Hollywood, UK, Nigerian Nollywood, Kenya and South Africa
- Free access model: A revolutionary approach to delivering high-quality faith-based entertainment for free to users, powered by a sustainable donor support model
- AI-powered personalization: Cutting-edge technology delivers personalized recommendations and enhanced user experience
- Mobile first design: Optimized for emerging market connections, with offline download capabilities and multi-device compatibility
- Multi-language support: Content available in multiple languages with subtitle options

“FaithStream uses technology to democratize quality Christian entertainment,” said House of Faith co-founder Hakeem Condotti. “Our mobile-first approach ensures believers in emerging markets—from Lagos to Nairobi to Johannesburg, and across the African diaspora across the globe—have access to inspiring, uplifting content that strengthens faith, celebrates culture, and connects communities around the world.”
Integrated entertainment ecosystem
In addition to its flagship product FaithStream, House of Faith operates as a comprehensive entertainment ecosystem with plans to develop:
- production studio: Multimedia facilities in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa create original African faith-based content for global audiences
- Distribution network: Multiple TV channels and film distribution partners in 49 African countries
- Publishing department: Devotionals, books and magazines for education and spiritual growth
- Live events: Parties, concerts and community events
Meet global needs
Recent research from the Pew Research Center and the Center for Global Christianity shows that 82% of African content consumers prefer culturally relevant stories, but Africa is largely underserved by the world’s leading Christian streaming services, with fewer than 50 African titles in their selection as of 2024. In addition, the 13 million African diaspora Christians in the UK, US, Canada and the Caribbean are hungry for content that reflects their traditions and values.
The launch of FaithStream comes at a critical time, with the global faith-based media industry valued at $47 billion and Christian streaming alone expected to reach $4 billion by 2028, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 10%. In January 2026, FaithStream will launch all of its products globally.
Guests attending the event held at Hilton London Paddington included Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife Group; actor and TV presenter Zainab Balogun; Odiri Iwuji, Partner, C21Media; Mohan Yogendran, MD, Talent Circle; musician Bez Idakula who also performed; former Super Eagles and Premier League star Seyi Olofinjana; Akin Salami, Andrew Osayemi, Busola Adeogun-Phillips, etc.
