    • A corps member identified online as @dope_demonxx reported that his mother was abducted along with other passengers on a commercial bus in Kaba axis of Kogi State on her way to Abuja.
    • The kidnapping took place in broad daylight and the video went viral.
    • Members of the corps confirmed that the kidnappers are currently demanding a ransom of 60 million naira and are negotiating the amount individually with each victim’s family, noting the immense suffering suffered by the victims and the fact that “many children are with them”.

A corps member identified as @dope_demonxx on

The incident first attracted attention when a video went viral online, showing multiple passengers being abducted in broad daylight on November 27, 2025.

This viral headline expressed public dissatisfaction with the security breach:

“Apparently everyone on this bus was kidnapped earlier today in Kaba, Kogi State. In broad daylight brother…we are tired!!!”

The victim’s son confirmed the horrific news, expressing his shock and despair:

“Nigeria finally didn’t happen to me. Bandits didn’t kidnap my mom. Ha, where do I start?”

He detailed the frustrating circumstances surrounding the ransom negotiations, noting that the kidnappers allotted different amounts to each family.

He said the kidnappers demanded a large sum of money:

“The problem is still 60 million. We are trying to negotiate with them but the number they provided is temporarily closed and we cannot try again until the evening. They randomly call each kidnapped family with different amounts. We are in great pain. A lot of children are with them 💔.”

His last communication with his mother shows that she was in a Kabbah axis just before the communication ceased:

“She is leaving for Abuja today. The last time we heard from her, she said she was in Kabbah.”
