Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has set the internet ablaze after she revealed on the Honest Bunch podcast that she is the mother of a six-year-old boy, a detail unknown to many fans.
The actress got emotional at times during the interview, but firmly stated that she chooses to live by her own rules. She addressed comments about her body, personality and long-standing speculation that she has had plastic surgery.
“My mother’s name is Gloria. There’s no point in thinking you can use it to mock me. It’s who I am, that’s all. I wear what makes me comfortable. I don’t hide from anyone,” she said.
Nkechi went on to openly discuss how she once hid parts of her personal life, including her children, from the public, but noted that she no longer feels the need to hide anything. She recalled people in the past being arrested for violating her privacy.
“I really don’t like going online, but yes, I arrested her,” she revealed.
The most surprising moment of the episode was when she confirmed her son was six years old and then called him during the recording.
“Is Elijah home? Please answer the phone for him.” she said.
When he replied, the actress immediately softened and went into full mom mode while talking to him.
