Satguru Maharaj Ji offers to release Kanu on condition of cessation of Radio Biafra and sit-ins at home

    • One Love Family founder Satguru Maharaj Ji has pledged to help secure the release of detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu if two conditions are met: a permanent cessation of Radio Biafra broadcasts and an end to the stay-at-home order.
    • Maharaj Ji acknowledged in a temple broadcast that Kanu’s conviction for terrorism charges, punishable by death, meant his release would have to come through a “political solution.”
    • He advised the Igbo elders to accept the verdict and lobby President Tinubu, assuring that he would subsequently facilitate Kanu’s release.

Satguru Maharaj Ji, the founder of One Love Family, has publicly pledged to help the detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu be released from prison in exchange for a permanent cessation of Radio Biafra broadcasts and a stay-at-home order.

Maharaj Ji made the announcement in an interview with the temple’s internal broadcast on Wednesday.

According to Maharaj Ji, the IPOB leader was responsible for the terrorism charges leveled against him, noting that anyone found guilty of such charges could be sentenced to death.

    He said:

“However, we are thankful that the matter has been stayed because based on the charges, given the gravity of the crime he committed and the way and the way the constitution was written, it was always going to be a death sentence. Anyone accused of such an act (terrorism) would be punished with death. It is only by grace that Kanu was able to escape.”

He then laid out the political steps needed to free Kanu:

“So now there has to be a political solution for him (Kanu) to be released and it will be resolved in many ways. For anyone advocating for his pardon, they must take positive steps. In other words, they cannot leave empty-handed; they should stop Radio Biafra, wherever it is. Secondly, the stay-at-home order should be stopped and the sentence accepted while the Igbo elders go behind the scenes to analyze and explain to the President.

Maharaj Ji also called for an end to propaganda about the imminent Islamization of the East and promised to facilitate Kanu’s release once these conditions were met.
