- Tolu “Toolz” Oniru has criticized a seller on Instagram for selling fake Birkin bags for more than £8 million, questioning the financial judgment of both sellers and buyers.
- Toolz advises people to either save up for authentic bags or opt for high-quality, non-designer alternatives, stressing that they should stop feeling pressured to wear expensive brands.

Well-known Nigerian media personality Tolu “Toolz” Oniru has publicly condemned vendors selling fake Birkin bags at exorbitant prices, sometimes exceeding £8 million.
The mother-of-two took to her Instagram platform to question the economics of buying such expensive replicas, urging buyers to consider saving a little more for authentic second-hand bags or opting for high-quality, affordable non-designer brands.
Toolz strongly warns buyers and sellers to ask for realistic pricing and to challenge the obsession with designer brands:
“My friends, why did I see a vendor selling a fake Birkin bag for over 8 million naira? (£4,000/$5,500) Even a dime is too much! Are people really buying? Is everything okay at home?… Will you be whipped if you don’t rock designer brands? If you do sell fake/replica designer brands, be honest about your prices!”
