Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has revealed some of the major red flags that can disqualify potential romantic partners, citing lack of kindness and curiosity.
In a recent interview with US agency Complex, the Love Me Jeje singer said the core essence of a relationship is lost if a partner is unwilling to show kindness or genuine interest in their spouse.
Teems outlines her dating criteria:
“My dating terms are, if someone doesn’t want to be your friend, then that’s a red flag. Anyone who’s not curious about you is a red flag, too. Because what are we doing? If you don’t want to get to know me, why are we here?”
She gave clear advice to her followers:
“If he or she doesn’t want to know more about you, end the relationship.”
Teems admitted that while she is a “lover girl,” she is trying to be cautious due to past experiences and is currently prioritizing self-love.
