    • A woman in Lagos has reported a horrific experience with wig snatchers in Igando.
    • The incident occurred while she was on her way to a friend’s birthday party.
    • When she got out of the car to ride her motorcycle, an unknown person pulled her wig from behind.

    A Lagos woman has shared a horrific encounter with a wig snatcher in Igando area.

    She revealed that the incident occurred when she was attending a friend’s birthday party. When she got off the bus and was about to ride a motorcycle, an unknown person suddenly grabbed her wig from behind.

    The sudden attack left her stunned and unable to comprehend what had just happened.

    “I just came back from a friend’s birthday. When I got off my bike to ride my bike in Igando, someone tried to snatch my wig from behind. I was shocked to be honest.” she recalled.

    The story sparked reactions online, with many residents expressing concern about an increase in theft by petty thieves, especially during the festive period. Some also urged women to be vigilant, noting that thieves are increasingly targeting wigs, jewelry and other items that are easily snatched in busy areas.

    @BIG_SHABZ: “This isn’t 2005 and gold is being snatched from the ears and necks of Oshodi and other notorious Axis people…but this is the Lagos they ‘built’. This is the time y’all need extra scarves to hold your wigs in place.”

    @Omo_Alaafin_Odoya: “Oops…a lot of girls spend Christmas with stolen wigs. Boyfriends are out looking for Christmas gifts for their babies…imagine riding her moving bike, she will fall and get hurt…Wig wearers, be safe out there…”

    @TOMI: “Tell them not to pull on my natural afro. It’s not a wig.”

    @Zoo_Magazines: “Insecurity doesn’t affect a thief’s wig.”
