- Nigerian singer Davido Adeleke has engaged in social media discussions with users on X.
- The exchange was triggered by his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, switching political parties.
- Governor Ademola Adeleke transitioned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Accord Party.

Nigerian singer, Davido Adeleke, found himself communicating with some X users on social media after his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, decided to change political parties.
The Osun State governor recently left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Accord Party, triggering reactions online including from Davido.
A user named Akin Akinwale commented on the move stating that APC blocked Adeleke from joining their party. He described the moment as historic and questioned whether the governor could secure re-election by defeating the APC.
Another fan, Wewe Adefisayo, jokingly said that if APC wins in Osun, Davido may need to compose a song for them. Feeling drawn into the debate, Davido responded that he and his uncle would rather focus on their multi-million dollar business.
However, X user Mr. Sam seemed unimpressed by Davido’s answer and told him to “get on the floor and sit down.” Davido shot back that he was not sitting but “in the air” and revealed that he was traveling on a Global 7500 jet worth about $75 million.
Fans praised Davido for his witty comeback, highlighting his earlier prediction that many will be “favoriting” this year. They praised his sharp response and criticized Mr Sam for intervening in a conversation that was inappropriate for him.
