Nigerian music superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has expressed his desire for Asek to perform at his wedding.
In an interview with the former YBNL artist on Apple Music Radio, Wizkid praised Asake’s music, especially his hit song “Remember”. He revealed that Asake’s song “Omo Ope” was what first attracted him to become a fan.
Wizkid highlighted “Remember” from Asake’s 2023 album Work of Art as his favorite song and called it extraordinary. Wizkid, who sat next to Asake during the interview, spoke highly of the singer, emphasizing the singer’s extraordinary talent.
“You have one of the most unique voices, not just in Africa but in the world,” Wizkid said. “I have told you countless times and I will say it again on the radio. You are truly a blessing to African music.”
Asek was visibly moved by the compliments and responded with a grateful “Alhamdulilahi”.
Reports also suggest that Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his manager and mother of his third child, Japa P. The couple has three children together: two sons and a daughter.
